The short version
I'm Eric. I spent 4 years in the Marine Corps as an AAV Commander, 20+ years as a firefighter and paramedic with the Houston Fire Department, and the last decade building platform engineering infrastructure in Azure, AWS, and everything in between.
Now I run Primed Systems — a solo consulting and product company where I use AI tooling to deliver the output of a team at the cost of one engineer.
What I actually do
I build the systems that let small teams punch above their weight. CI/CD pipelines that pass compliance audits. Integrations between ERPs and MES platforms that actually keep data in sync. Infrastructure that's hardened by default, not hardened as an afterthought.
My day job is at a healthcare company where I manage Azure DevOps infrastructure, Terraform deployments, and the kind of HIPAA-compliant CI/CD pipelines that keep auditors happy. My side work is building the same kind of infrastructure for companies that can't afford a full platform team.
The AI angle
I'm not an AI company. I'm an engineer who uses AI the way a carpenter uses a nail gun — it's a force multiplier, not the product. Claude writes code, runs tests, reviews changes, and handles research while I focus on architecture and client conversations.
This lets me deliver enterprise-quality infrastructure without enterprise-quality invoices. One person, AI leverage, real results.
Why "Primed"?
A primed system is one that's ready to fire. No warm-up, no prep time, no excuses. Your CI/CD pipeline should be primed. Your integrations should be primed. Your infrastructure should be primed.
Also, I'm a Marine. The metaphor works on multiple levels.
Outside of work
I'm a dad, I still ride the fire truck, and I build apps for my kids with special needs. If that sounds like a lot — it is. That's why everything I build has to work the first time. I don't have hours to waste on fragile systems.
